Quick hits for July 10: Interesting reads for counselors from around the Internet

  • People who experience a serious physical health  problem are three times more likely to use mental health services.
  •  Patients being treated for social anxiety will not decrease their alcohol consumption, suggests a new study.
  • A user’s amount of time on Facebook will not increase his or her odds of depression says one study, while another small study claims it may increase anxiety and feelings of inadequacy.
